Recently Google blogged about a very interesting document called Google’s SEO Report Card. if you have thouroughly gone through their SEO starter guide you can better understand it.

This report is created by Google itself after looking at the main pages of 100 different Google products, measuring them across various common optimization categories.

It talks about along with examples, fixing broken links, 404 pages, simplifying URLs, providing easy titles and snippets for our pages can benefit both users and search engines, using descriptive title tags, meta and heading tags.

It brings an opportunity to Google along with all webmasters who wish to improve their websites using simple and accepted optimizations. These optimizations are intended to not only help search engines understand the content of our pages better, but also to improve our users’ experience when visiting our sites.
